- Sub: Opening under MultiFinder
-
- To anyone or everyone:
-
- I've been having problems launching documents under Multifinder. If my
- application is open and I attempt to open one of its documents (this
- application creates its own document type) from the desktop (i.e., not from
- within the application), I get a message like "Some documents could not be
- opened from the desktop. Please enter the application to launch them."
-
- The text of the Open command within this application is not standard (It's
- "Open Collection"). I included a MSTR resource, locationg the menu and the
- command text for MultiFinder to use. This, however, was not effective.
-
- To make sure I created the resources correctly, I changed the text of the open
- command to "Open", and this still had no impact.
-
- Has anyone out there attempted to open a document that is specific to your
- application from the desktop WHILE the application is running? If so, have you
- had any problem? How did you resolve them?
-
- Any help (or suggestions or advice) would be greatly appreciated. I can be
- reached via AppleLink at MCDONOUGH.
-
- Thanks,
- Tom.
